You can typically resume activities such as reading and watching TV, but you may want to take some breaks to avoid straining your eyes too much. For the first few weeks after cataract surgery, you should avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activities that could increase eye pressure and hinder healing. 

3. Follow aftercare instructions. 

Another key tip for recovery is to meticulously follow the aftercare instructions provided.
